Apartamento de Jeanine

A primeira vista um apartamento comum, mas com muitos livros para uma pessoa normal...

Entro na casa dela, devagar. Dou uma olhada breve nos livros, e vejo se tem algo que eu associo dos títulos com as coisas que eu estudei.

Mikael fica admirando os livros, um pouco

Mikael reconhece vários livros das bibliotecas de Talamaska e de sua família...

[Jeanine] How can any memories of books be bad? Did they hit you in the head with them?

'E eu sei l... What the... Bom. Parece que você fala português. Como você soube que *eu* falava, eu nem sei se quero saber. Como você fez isso aí? Bom, deixe-me ver uma coisa'

*Mikael se levanta, se aproxima da Jeanine com a bandeja de chá, e a cutuca. Se ela parecer sólida, eu digo*

'I read once about some interesting people who could be in more than one place at a time. Is this the case?'

Caso ela não seja sólida, eu digo

'This seems like a clever optic trick. It still doesn't explain how one of you hit me in the streets, though.'

Em, qualquer caso

'Me desculpe se eu misturar as duas línguas de vez em quando. Eu não morei muito tempo na minha terra natal, o português acabou não sendo tão natural quanto devia'

A Jeanine é sólida, e não parece nada contente em ser "cutucada", a outra Jeanine ouve a explanação de Mikael e continua:

Mikael força sua mente e se lembra, Lobisomens, Vampiros e bruxas, esses ele lembrava, ele acha que tem mais, mas fantasmas e mumias se misturam com curupiras e sacis em sua cabeça, o que lhe faz nao saber o que é lenda e mito contra o que é verdade.

[Jeanine] God you are so blind! We people don't hide so well, not lately at least, you know, we don't know threats anymore, al of us are a lot stronger and more organized than you humans, and that's the big trouble...
Until some time ago, we used to have some grudges between us, the wolves used to fight each other and all these kind of ugly things, but lately, all of them are getting settled, by good or bad ways, they are being sttled, and that' a big trouble...
You know, us? 'witches' you say, we do care about you, a little bit, but not all of us, and definetely not the other ones... What get's a preety war in teh upcoming, something you humans would never imagine, the war for the world, what race will rule the earth from now on? because, you're definitely gonners you know? as past as are the dinossaurs... But relax, some people fight for your right to live, the vampires for example, don't wanna lose their food! *dá uma risada* So... Look out boy, I don't think you guys can fight back, but you can try to survive all of this...

Jeanine toma um gole de chá e continua

[Jeanine] E o que isso tem a ver com a explosão atomica? bom, tem um cara ai, o tal do Jill, que acha que se nos começarmos uma guerra, vamos destruir o mundo, então ele vai destruir antes, ao menor sinal de guerra, ele e seu aliados vão usar de todos os seus poderes para acabar com o nosso mundo, e todos os seres nele viventes! Not good at all boy! E sim, eu falo português, e seu cérebro vez ou outra funciona em ondas que correspondem a lingua portuguesa, e eu consigo sentir isso, logo, sabia que você entenderia.

'A bad guy? Yeah, good question. Been in my head all my life. You see, life is already unfair as it is. You people are all born with the ability to make copies of yourselves and stop bullets, or big fangs and claws. In the meantime, we humans just survive, as preys, from all of you, because we have nothing to defend or counter attack with. But just so you know, my definition of a bad guy is: As long as you want to save lives, especially lives that don't deserve to be taken, you're ok. You want to stop an apocalypse or whatever? Good. A lot of fathers might be able to pickup their sons after school because of you, in the future, even if you don't give a fuck and just want to save your own skin. Now, suppose we do survive all that you say could happen. If, after the danger is gone, you start going around killing humans just because you want to, then you're all the way down the bad guy category, and you might need some hunting. Might not be the best definition, but has worked ok so far.

Now, about being special... What do you think it could be? I don't think I've heard anything about that'

Mikael pondera se já ouviu falar algo do tipo...

Mikael realmente nunca ouvira nada, e pela expressão de Jeanine, nem ela...

[Jeanine] Well, there's the saying that exists some people that are in the middle of the way, but, I'venever heard anything conclusive on this! So... I don't know anymore than you, but I thougth you should know anyway, something about you...

[Jeanine] Wow... You really are special... Sry boy, but I think you gotta survive...

Como eu não sei se a Jeanine que serviu o chá também sumiu...

Se ela não tiver sumido:

Se ela também tiver sumido e eu estiver sozinho:

*Suspiro* 'Jeanine?'

*Me levanto, e começo a andar pelo resto do apartamente procurando ela*

Off: Lógico! Eu um dia vou fazer um mage andrógeno em storyteller e chamar ele de Vaarsuvius. Ele vai ter forces -.-

Mikael encontra mais livros e uma cama extra, com lençois e travesseiro e o seu nome nela, mas nada de Jeanine

'Uma cama? Agora ela apelou... Vamos só fazer uma coisa antes disso'

Vou caçar um computador na casa. Se eu achar, olho meus e-mails antes de dormir.

Se não achar, eu vou dormir direto. Vou dormir com meus leques próximos, pra casos de emergência.

Mikael checa seus e-mails e não encontra nada demais, então se deita para a merecida noite de sono...

Mikael nota que seu suor encharcou os lençois, e ele definitivamente não sentia mais sono, sua respiração estava acelerada...

'What the fuck... Que sonho escroto.'

Me levanto, e vou ver o que é o barulho que eu tinha escutado. Levo meus leques.
